Ocean JasperTM is an orbicular chalcedony found only along the northwestern coast of Madagascar. It was discovered in October 1999, and only 8 veins have been discovered (as well as the most recent "veinless" deposit).
These 10 spheres come from the 7th vein which was mined from roughly 2014 to 2016 and is now mined out, meaning there is no new material coming onto the market.
Each sphere has a deep green, almost black, colour, highlighted with tan, yellow, brown, black, and within some, also clear quartz. They all have small orbs or orbicular patterning
You will receive one of these 10 spheres. Each one weighs between 200 and 220 grams and measures roughly 55 mm (tad over 2").
Each sphere has been hand-picked by me for its quality and look. This is a rougher stone with druzy, small vugs, baby caves, and other textures within the stone. While it has been polished it is not completely smooth; so if you have problems with textures, this specific vein of ocean jasper may not be best for you.
