Polychrome Jasper was first discovered in Madagascar around 2006-2008 while miners were looking for deposits of Ocean Jasper. Polychrome jasper is often a swirl of bands of colours, including tones of: red, brown, green, white, orange, grey-blue, and tan.
The bold red is due to iron inclusions.
