Wonderful small specimen of vanadinite on matrix, from Mibladen, Atlas Mountains, Morocco.
Delicate hexagonal crystals of brick red vanadinites with glassy luster on the matrix. These are very small, but well-defined undamaged crystals, fully terminated with bright flash and shine.
Crystals flow down the “front” of the piece and onto the sides like a red waterfall. The “back” has a light coating of goethite offering a nice contrast with the orange-red crystals.
Weight: 152 grams. Measurements: 3” x 2.5” x 2” high.
Vanadinite is fragile and shedding of a small quantity of crystals in possible during shipment. We will wrap this like crazy to protect it as much as possible.
