Small cabinet specimen of Azurite and Malachite from the Liufengshan Mine, Anqing-Guichi Mining District, Guichi District, Chizhou Prefecture, Anhui Province, China.
The crystals in this gorgeous piece are a striking deep blue against a small area of bright green malachite along the bottom. In some areas the azurite has both a reddish iron, and black goethite, coating. Rather than diminish; I find the added colors to bring extra depth to this piece!
