Sparkling Druzy coated Fossilized Sea Shells from India

$18.00

These fossilized shells are amazing!

They were chiseled, by hand, out of rock, from hillsides in the Dhar region of central India.

The Indian subcontinent was once under an ancient ocean (the Tethys Sea), dating these gemshells to 50-100 million years old.

The druzy coating is naturally occurring- there is no extra aura coating on these lovelies. And each shell is unique; BUT also each shell is left-spiraling, an oddity in the shell world.

Metaphysically, left spiral shells, or sinistral shells, hold special meaning and many ancient peoples believed the spiral was a representation of the pathway of the sun and the cycle of life.

(You may see these shells called “spiralite” however that is a trademarked name for a specific jewelry line. )

These shells are stunning as jewelry, or as display specimens! Due to the harsh method of collecting these shells from rock, they often suffer some damage and may be missing small pieces.

You will receive 1 shell, packed carefully in a perky display box.
