UV-reactive Sodalite-Syenite carved mini Skull 68g (Yooperlite)
If you like to light rocks up with an ultra violet (UV) blacklight this is the mini skull for you.
Carved from sodalite-syenite, it fluoresces bright orangey red when hit with a UV light. Without the UV it is a plain, but still nice medium grey with black and reddish inclusions.
Most folks call all stones that look like this Yooperlite; but Yooperlite is only found along the shores of The Great Lakes, and I cannot be certain of where this specimen came from (possibly China, Greenland, Namibia, Kazakhstan, Malawi, or the Czech Republic)- so we are going with the more scientific-y name.
Nicely hand-carved. It is not coated so you can see a few tiny marks left behind from when it was being carved, but that is the nature of working with natural rocks.
Measures roughly 2” long and 1.5” high; weighs 68 grams.
