Spooky Season Sea Jasper carving ghost tree w/bird
Super fun spooky season carving! This is a nice chunk of Sea Jasper that has been carved into a ghost-y haunted tree, holding a jack-o-lantern, with a carved bird (raven?) and wearing a witch hat!
Some call this Ocean Jasper, but since we don’t know if this piece came from that specific Madagascar mine, we’re going with Sea Jasper.
The carving may be a little on the simple side although I do love his smirky smile; BUT the colours of this beautiful rhyolite rock are really what holds the value- truly beautiful tones of purple and green, with tiny hints or orange and pink.
Stands 4.5” tall, 1.5” wide at the base. Weighs 218 (a tad over 7 oz).
