Natural Kundalini Citrine Point (DRC)
Natural Kundalini Citrine points and clusters from the Lwena region in the Democractic Republic of Congo.
Kundalini Citrine is characterized by a distinct formation habit of multiple terminated smaller crystals clustered around the base of the central or more prominent point.
Kundalini is the feminine form of the Sanskrit word Kundala, meaning “coiled” or “circular”.
Metaphysically, it is believed that Kundalini energy rests at the base of the spine in the root chakra and can be released towards the mind via specific yoga poses.
The term Kundalini applied to this beautiful citrine quartz may have been literal, as the formation resembles a coil of crystals spiraling around the base; or spiritual, for the same reason.
This Congo Citrine has a warm honey colour and many pieces still retain traces of earth. I chose not to clean these further because I really like both the contrasting visual of the dried mud, and the thought that these beautiful crystals still retain a little of their home.
