Chocolate Calcite Specimen 672g
This mineral specimen is a relatively new find trade-named "Chocolate Calcite". The calcite crystals grow in stacked, tower formations and have a nice glimmer or shine to the glassy sides.
The red matrix is comprised of iron and hematite and is almost like a clay (you will get it on your fingers if you rub it). The color is quite stunning and this specimen is a great addition to any collection!
From the Leiping Mine, Chenzhou, Hunan, China.
Weighs 672 grams, (1.7 lbs). Measures roughly 4.5”x4”x3.5” high.
