Black Tourmaline with smoky quartz. Benz termination. free standing. 408g.
Very striking black tourmaline schorl specimen with “Mercedes” termination, and smoky quartz aggregators on one side, from the Erongo Region, Namibia.
This gorgeous cluster is comprised of one one single crystal featuring striated structure and excellent luster; the structural lines and surface texture make it especially desirable. The top has is “Benz” terminated and dusted with iron flake. The smoky quartz is also covered with iron with some of the grey peeling through and I have not tried to clean it because I actually like the look of it. You may choose to try to clean at your own discretion.
Measures roughly 3” x 2” by 2” high and weighs 408 grams. Short, squat, and hefty- and I like it like that!
